PreSonus – Studio One 7: Can It Compete with FL Studio 24?

presonus-studio-one-pro-7-daw-looptorrent

Several DAWs, such as FL Studio 24, Logic Pro 11, Bitwing, and many more, are available in the market. Each DAW has its characteristics and reputation in the world of music production.

PreSonus – Studio One is also a DAW. There has been a complete series of this DAW from day 1 till now. The latest version of this software is Studio One Pro 7.

With the years of producing and mixing, my journey with this DAW was started with studio one 6. Actually, I was felt ease on working with this DAW because of its simple and clean interface.

With the recent Studio One 7 Pro release date of October 9th, my curiosity was also aroused with few questions. Will this DAW beat FL STUDIO 24 OR it is just a market hype?

In this article, I will discuss the updates added in this updated version, and along with those new updates, I will also show that Studio One 7 outshines the FL STUDIO 24, or it is only a hype ?

Off course, the comparison of this DAW with the FL STUDIO 24 will be posted after the release of this DAW. So, I will try and explore the features of studio one 7, and then I write a brief comparison.

So, without wasting any time, let’s get started.

What’s New in Studio One Pro 7

Here is a comprehensive discussion of the new updates and features that are expected to be added in this latest update. But, I cant say anything before this DAW is actually released.

This DAW is going to be released on the 9th of Octuber 2024. But let’s talk about the updates that the company claims about this update.

1. Cancellation of Other Versions

The first major update that I think should be mentioned is that the presonus company has decided to cancel the two versions of the studio one.

Actually, there are three versions of studio one. They were studio one prime, studio one, studio one artist and studio one pro. Now the company has decided to cancel out the prime and artist version.

So, now there will be only one DAW from this company, which is called Studio one pro. The company has also migrated the features of canceled DAWs to this solo version.

These features included Audio Batch Converter, Presonus Editer, Deep flight one, Deep Flight one extended Vst, etc.

So now the question arises about the user who have the artist or prime version. Will their DAWs be shutdown at any time?

The answer is that the company allow those users to upgrade their DAW from older to new version. In this case the company is charging the 149 dollars.

If someone wants to buy the studio one 7, and he is a newcomer then the company will charge 199 dollars.

So, is the cancellation of older versions and switching to new solo DAW okay for the users? The answer is yes and also No.

The major benefit of this action is that it will remove the confusion for the people who used to get worry that which version of the DAW should they buy.

On the other hand it is bit uncomfortable for those who are already with their older DAW and don’t want to switch.

Then those users will off course feel difficulty to spent their money to upgrade, and this upgrade seems forcefully upgrade as the company is cancelling the older versions.

More Comments

The price of the studio one pro 7 which is 199 dollars for new owner is low price as compare to it was before.
