Introduction:
FL Studio 24 is out now, and in this article, I’ll dive into the newest features added to this popular music production software. Image-Line continues to offer lifetime free updates to anyone who’s purchased their software. I’ll go over what’s new—like Cloud integration, AI mastering tools, and fresh plugins—and break down how these updates help users and who they’re really made for.
Why FL Studio 24 ?:
Let’s start by looking at the software versioning. The previous version was FL Studio 21.2, but now Image-Line released FL Studio 24. you might wonder where the other versions went. There seems to be a large gap between versions, but why? The answer is pretty simple. The image line gives lifetime free updates to its users. Therefore, they simplified the release date by naming their software with the release year. Since this is 2024, Image Line named it FL Studio 2024. However, they pronounce it as FL Studio 24 to keep it concise. The figure 24 refers to the release date. In this way, users can easily remember the latest version of the FL studio. For example, if there is 2028 and the user uses the FL Studio 27, he is using outdated software. He needs to update his software.

Now, let’s start with a detailed explanation of some important updates.
1. FL Studio Cloud :
This new update introduces a feature called FL Studio Cloud. It works kind of like a Splice-style service. While it’s not a traditional plugin, you can think of it as a hub that brings together a range of different plugins. It includes tools from third-party companies that partnered with FL Studio for the 2024 release. The Cloud gives you access to 60 plugins in total—some are free, while others are paid. Below is a list of the companies that teamed up with Image-Line for this release.
- UVI
2. Native Instruments
3. Melda Production
4. Minimal audio
5. Baby Audio
Many other companies’ plugins are available in the Fl Studio 24 free download
2. Subscription of the FL Studio Cloud:
FL Studio Cloud comes in three versions. If you’ve already bought the main software, there’s a free download available. However, the full Cloud experience runs on a subscription model. Let me break down the different subscription options they offer.
1.Cloud Service of FL Studio 24:
First, there’s the FL Studio Cloud free download. Even users who haven’t purchased FL Studio can access it, though with some limitations. In this version, you get access to 10 plugins, can use or download a limited number of sample packs, upload content to the FL platform, and use one mastering preset.
2. Cloud Plus Service :
In this version, users can access unlimited sample packs, 18 plugins, and 12 mastering presets, along with the ability to upload unlimited content to the FL platform. On top of that, users will also receive rewards as part of the plan.
3. Cloud Pro Service :
In the FL Studio Cloud Pro version, users get access to unlimited sample packs, 60 plugins, and 12 mastering presets. Just like the previous plan, rewards are also included with this subscription.
3. Cloud Mastering of FL studio 24 full :
I forgot to mention the FL Studio Cloud Mastering. This is AI mastering. To use this service, the user uploads his non-mastered track to the FL Studio cloud server. This can be done within the software itself, or the user can also upload the track to the FL portal through their official website. FL Studio AI mastering can be helpful for those users who can’t afford any mastering engineer and have no mastering experience. This could be a source of inspiration for the professional mastering engineers.
First, the user uploads his non-mastered track to the FL Studio cloud mastering portal.
After that, the portal asks you to select the genre of the music to ensure efficient mastering
After the FL cloud mastering, apply various techniques, such as dynamic range compression, equalization, stereo enhancement, etc., to master the track as real engineers do.
Finally, users can download the mastered version of their track, processed by FL Studio’s AI mastering system. Now, the big question: Is FL Studio Cloud mastering download free? Let me clear that up. FL Cloud mastering is a core feature of the software, so it’s free for users who have purchased FL Studio 24 directly from the official Image-Line website.
FL Studio 24 chord generator:
One main tool, known as the Chord generator, is added in this update. This chord generator helps the user generate complex chords in minutes; all the user has to do is select the key and scale. The chord generator has two options. By the forts option, the user has to make chords by selecting the presets of the FL Studio chord generator tool, or this tool has the second option by which the generator generates the chords automatically. Fl studio chord tool also allows the user to tweak its generated chords. User tweak notes, velocities, and other aspects.
These tools can be very helpful for producers without ideas or inspiration for their work. The Fl studio chord tool can also be a source of study. By studying its generated chords, users learn how to create them and what chords sound better together. This tool can speed up workflow and allow the user to focus on the other creative aspects of music production. By using this tool, users can save plenty of time.
New Plugins :
This update introduces new VST plugins to Image Line Fruity Loops software. Image Line Fruity Loops users who have bought the software from the company will receive the plugins listed below.
Kepler Exo :
The Kepler vst is added in this new update. Let me tell you about the Kepler plugin shortly.
Kepler emulates the sounds of the Roland Juno-6 and Jupiter-8 synth, It offers a vintage chorus effect and versatile oscillators. Here is a visual representation of that plugin.
Low Filter:
The low filter is the plugin that fulfills the requirement of the subwoofer to some extent. It adds harmonics to the low frequencies of the sound to make the low frequencies stand out for those devices that cannot produce the low frequencies.
