The highly anticipated Arturia Pigments 5 has just been released, and Looptorrent is thrilled to discuss it. In this blog, we will dive deep into the latest features of the plugin. So, without further ado, let’s plunge into the plugin.
Introduction of the Arturia Pigments
Whether you’re cooking beats for hip-hop, EDM, techno, etc. Arturia Pigments has your back. This versatile plugin has the power to nail every sound you imagine. This is the only plugin that can bring life to your production. This plugin provides endless possibilities to boost your creativity 10x more. It’s a game-changer tool for every producer.
Arturia Pigments Presets
The Arturia Pigments presets are an extensive collection, and industry experts master them. These presets are designed thoughtfully to fit right in every music genre out there, whether it’s EDM, hip-hop, techno, or any other. Looptorrent can thrillingly pronounce that Arturia Pigments presets are like a sharp-edged blade that can cut through any music genre.
With 1500 ready-made presets of the plugin, including every sound from a unique guitar to punchy kicks, this plugin has ensured that there is something for every music genre.
Sound design features of the Pigments
Pigments by Arturia is the only VST that lets you dive deep into the sound. It offers endless modulation possibilities, so you can design any kind of sound. This bad boy’s micro controls and LFOs are also major contributors to its distinctive sound design.
Arturia Pigments 5 offers 160 wavetables and lets the user import them. With the help of these wavetables, you can craft any sound, including bass, pads, kicks, keys, leads, supporting elements like buildup sound, and much more.
Selection of wavetables
Out of 160 wavetables, the user can choose any wavetable, and the user can also morph between different types of wavetables to create unique sounds. The inbuilt high-quality effects like phase distortion, wave folding, and rich unison & voice controls can also affect these wavetables. So, you can make any built-in sound on your own.
Sample & Granular
The Arturia pigment plugin also provides a high-quality granular synth. We import our synths into this synth, which breaks out imported samples into many small pieces, known as grains in music production. The granular features of this plugin help us manipulate those grains, completely transforming them into something unique and tastier. We can warp, contort, stretch, and modulate grains with this.
Harmonic engine
The new feature of the Arturia Pigment 5 is the harmonic engine. This harmonic engine allows users to create inspiring sounds using powerful, addictive synthesis. Additive synthesis is a way of designing sounds in which users have to add different waveforms of variable amplitudes. This process may be a little complex, but here comes the harmonic engine of the Pigments 5.
This harmonic engine makes this process very handy by providing visuals of the harmonic spectrum of the signal. This harmonic is the same as the patcher plugin of the Fl studio.
Virtual Analog
The Virtual Analog engine of the Arturia Pigments 5 consists of four sound engines alongside Wavetable, Sample and Granular, and Harmonic Oscillator. These features of the plugin have been award-winning. If you want to emulate the sound and behavior of the old, legendary classical synths, then the features of the Pigments 5 have got you back.
Utility Engine
One of the dancing features of Arturia Pigments 5 is its utility engine. Sometimes, the sound designer needs more oscillators to add another layer of sound, even if he or she has used all the oscillators of the synth plugin. To tackle this problem, the pigments’ utility engine is here to provide the extra oscillators.
The utility engine also lets you add secondary layers of sounds like noise layers or atmosphere sounds to any other sound to make your designed sample sound fuller. Some of these secondary sounds are available in the plugin, but you can also add your own. For more information, please visit the official site.
Filters
Pigments 5’s filters are amazing. They can also be side-chained with other plugin controls. Pigments 5 provides 11 different types of filters. Let me tell you some of them.
- The surgeon or format filter is the best option to make your sound more exciting.
- If you want to make your sound more wobbly and shaky, use the Jup-8 Filter. This filter introduces very small vibrations into your sound, making you sound like old analog synths.
- Looptorrent wants to offer an additional tip: If you want to have double the fun with your sound, use two filters side by side. Automate the different filters’ controls to add realistic emotion to your sound.
